Leo New Moon

The New Moon in Leo at 2 degrees occurs on 25 July 2025 at 5.12am AEST

A new cycle begins, one that ignites passion and enthusiasm, courage and confidence and as the Leo New Moon is working with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, it will be building your sovereignty and integrity. For some it will be inspiring the need to protect their family and community and to stand up for what they truly believe in.

Leo and Aries are fire signs, both passionate and protective energies so don’t be surprised if you get fired up about something especially as the Leo New Moon is working with Uranus in Gemini, bringing surprising and possibly shocking news, let’s hope it’s good news. Or, you may become quite frustrated about things. Whatever comes about with the Leo New Moon is meant to adjust our trajectory toward a brighter future, but first some things must be altered which will affect the status quo, and we must remain strong and loyal to what is deep within our hearts.

The Moon relates to our emotions and how we go about our daily lives, and while conjunct the Sun, all aspects and planets the Leo New Moon is working with will be highlighted, and this New Moon is working with some very powerful aspects.

In a previous post I mentioned the workings of the Sun, Pluto and Chiron working together, and how Pluto is deconstructing the wound of Chiron, namely our fear of rejection or abandonment and the Leo New Moon is conjunct the Sun adding to this pressure for us to work with and grow from more intently. This is revolutionary energy as Pluto brings to the surface what has been hidden, to be dealt with, healed from and changed permanently.

The beauty of this New Moon is that both the Sun and Moon are working with Neptune and Saturn, both are retrograde, and letting us know that it’s time for us to look at how the world we live in today has been created and to begin to structure into our lives what we really want, how we want to live and BE in this world. To dive deep into our hearts and find what truly matters to us, to bring that out into the open and build upon this desire, to become passionate about it and to go higher with it.

 Always go higher with your thoughts, words and actions. Always act upon your first thought because that is the higher thought free from doubt and the what ifs. Something will be ignited within you during the Leo New Moon and it will require you to release something, possibly a way of being that has become so natural or comfortable for you, but you’ll KNOW it’s time for change.

As the Leo energy loves attention, this new “thing” will be the centre of your attention, and you will probably want to act upon it quickly. In some respects, this may be a requirement, but in other situations it may be beneficial to stop and think about things a bit more first, especially while Mercury is retrograde. Write things out and this will give you the big picture in front of you. Refine what it is you really want and then hand over the How to the Universe.

Pluto is about death and rebirth, add the newness of the New Moon and you can see that it’s time for something to end and something to begin. Have a look at the Houses that 2 degrees of Leo, Aquarius and Aries fall in your chart and you’ll have a better idea of what you’ll be working with and the opportunities you can act upon.
