New Moon in Capricorn

The New Moon in Capricorn at 20 degrees on the 11th of January, will be showing us new ways to work with the wound we’ve come to heal, which will change our way going forward. There are quite a few aspects to this Chart as every planet is activated, so we could see quite a few variations occurring.

Hello and welcome to todays forecast. I’d like to begin with a further description of Chiron which may give you a better understanding of what Chiron means when we talk about him in astrology.

In Greek mythology Chiron was a Centaur and abandoned by his parents at infancy which created his first wound of rejection and abandonment, which would affect him for the rest of his life. He was taken in by the Sun God, Apollo, who taught Chiron many things, he taught him to be a healer, astrologer, a hunter, oracle and musician. Chiron then used his wisdom to teach the heroes of the time, to play music and hunt, he taught them medicine and prophecies.

His second wound came about when he was a bystander at a fight, and was struck in the leg by a poisonous arrow, which he himself could not heal, and this is where he gets the name of “the wounded healer”.  So there is a lot of wisdom and healing associated with Chiron, he’s not just about rejection and abandonment, they are the raw expressions of Chiron. Perhaps we can now tap into the more refined attributes of Chiron, which is wisdom and healing, practical knowledge, and spirituality.

So when Chiron is close to the North Node, they work together to bring wisdom, healing and spiritual growth and as they are both in Aries, the sign of the Self, we have the opportunity to grow, heal, and learn from teachers, healers and our own innate wisdom and guidance to support our way forward to where we are headed in this life.

A New Moon is when the Sun and Moon are at the same degree point and marks the beginning of a new cycle. I find it interesting that the Sun God, Apollo taught Chiron many wonderful and practical things and as the Sun and Moon are in Capricorn at the moment, a practical earth sign, working with Chiron, the North and South Nodes, we are being given the opportunity to learn new practical and spiritual ways of healing on a collective level, as we individually grow our sense of self and autonomy, away from the programming. The Aries energy will be asking, or more, demanding, a balance of power as the past becomes highlighted more and more and our way forward is toward sovereignty.  

Pluto works slowly to dismantle what no longer serves our highest and best and Uranus works quickly to change what isn’t working, that’s why his work is sudden and unexpected, and both of them are working with the New Moon! This is why you could see some very interesting twists and turn, unexpected changes to things that have been the same for a long time. Capricorn is the sign of tradition and as the New Moon is in Capricorn, we could see some things that we have traditionally lived by, altered and possibly end abruptly. This could be something you’ve been working on or towards for the last 20 or so years and now find you have to walk away from it and begin to work on yourself instead. This may be challenging to do, especially if you have spent most of your life doing and giving to others, but if you can remember that when you work on, take care of and love yourself, you are actually doing more for humanity than before, not only humanity, but for the people around you.

I feel this may also be a time of changing the guard so to speak. Just as Chiron taught so many, once he was injured, he had to take care of himself. I feel this is where the new Spiritual teachers and healers will evolve and come to light, ready to be seen.

The New Moon and Sun are also working nicely with Neptune in Pisces, bringing in new love and compassion, higher spiritual aspects and intuition, guidance and understandings that are beyond this world, and as Neptune is working with Pluto, they are removing what no longer works for you and all of humanity.  

Neptune is also working with Mars in Capricorn, and I feel this aspect could put the brakes on for some, as they have a new passion for something that is healing to the self, but they are slowed down to receive more information from Mercury in Sagittarius who is also working with Neptune.  This aspect could also put a stop to unhealthy actions and begin to go higher and deeper into Spirituality and self-love.

Venus in Sagittarius is also working with Neptune, Chiron and the North Node, supporting the growth of Self-love and higher healing and wisdom that will be taken into the future. I see this as new gifts coming in, or psychic abilities. This is also of great love, deep love of a higher nature, a stronger connection to the Divine or awareness really, because we are always connected to the Source of All, as we are of God. This aspect also has the energy signature of taking time to heal yourself, to find new boundaries and learning new ways to support your own needs.

Saturn in Pisces, the Ruler of this chart is working with Jupiter in Taurus and Mercury in Sagittarius, bringing in new ideas as to how to make money, or how to make your money work for you in better ways. You could become aware of where you need to limit your spending or reduce the things that aren’t that necessary and where you possibly indulge a little, which is an aspect of Jupiter in Taurus. By doing this, you will find you have more money and also live more closely to the earth and your true nature.

But the big aspect of this chart is the energy between the New Moon, Sun, Chiron and the North and South Nodes. We could see new loving, spiritual, healthy changes within the Self, which adds to the collective ways of humanity and the transition we are undertaking at the moment.

You may feel some frustration because you can see that some things are beginning to end and far from what you thought your life would look like or what you would be doing, you may not even know what the next step is, and this is the void, the place of pure potential for new beginnings. I feel the energy of Jupiter is amplifying the energy of Pluto at the very last degree of Capricorn where he has been for the last 20 years and if you’ve had a dream of what your work would look like or have been working hard to achieve success in your work, you now see that this dream and work is coming to an end, it may be quite challenging for you to give it up. If this is happening for you, take heart, because what comes next will be better for you, it always is. This is another death, and rebirth surely follows.

None of us know where this evolution is taking us, and this can bring up fear especially if you are one that needs to know what’s going to happen. If you can, strengthen your awareness of when your Guides and Higher Self are communicating with you and then follow through on their guidance. They usually speak quietly and briefly in the exact moment that you need guidance. They don’t tell you to something that will benefit you in two weeks time, they speak in the now moment. One thing that the programming has done, is kept us distracted from our guidance through our phones, tv and by following other people who we think know better than we do. But your own wisdom and guidance is specific to you and learning to listen to this guidance will be of great value to you through these changing times.

If you can, stay in the moment and focus on trust, faith and knowing that you are always provided for and shown the way forward. One thing is for sure, what comes next will grow your self-love and bring in an authentic sense of self-worth and value. We are all going higher, transforming and evolving.
