The Domestic Goddess!

Good morning and may your Monday be magnificent!

Today I’m guided to Mars and the Moon both at 7° of Virgo and the Sun in Cancer at 8°. It would have been at 7° yesterday, Sunday the 29th of June. This configuration may bring to your awareness memories of your Mother and what she did for you, or the amount of work you do as a Mother on a daily basis.

The Mars in Virgo energy signature relates to physical energy and stamina put towards work with perfection in mind. The Moon here is about your daily tasks and emotions, so you may find you become a little emotional about all the things you need to do around the home to keep it in tip top condition.

The Sun in Cancer highlights all things related to mothers, the love they give to the family and the home. With Jupiter close by to the Sun in Cancer, he may be escalating the demands placed upon Mothers or you may have a desire to go a little overboard and do more than you normally would and have higher expectations.

This may cause tension in the home, but the Sun and Jupiter are working with Saturn in Aries. The Saturn energy relates to management and fathers, while the Aries energy relates to the self. Together these energies could be bringing to your attention the need to think of yourself a little more, perhaps to do more for yourself or have the family contribute to the household duties in a greater way. The job of being a parent is to teach the children how to be in this world, to teach values and morals, as well as how to be independent for when they move into their own home, and that includes how to fold their clothes, wash the dishes, take the rubbish out, cook a meal, dust and vacuum, prepare a shopping list, put away after themselves and how to manage money, just to mention a few things! Dependence will become a thing of the past as we move into fifth dimensional consciousness, so it might be a good time to start teaching the kids how to live in this world if you haven’t already.

With Saturn working with Pluto in Aquarius, you may have a desire for greater freedom regarding your domestic duties, but Saturn is about time and it could mean that it’s not quite time for you to drop the bundle of titles you hold as a mother just yet, but to prepare a plan as the children grow and your responsibilities reduce. Perhaps you could have something going in the background that lights you up and makes you happy.

If your children are old enough to take care of themselves, as in late teens, you may find this is the time for you to start researching other avenues of interest or it might just be that the seed is being planted and once Uranus is in Gemini you may look at doing courses or socializing more!

The position a Mother holds is often under rated. Not only does a Mother do the dishes, cooks and cleans, washes the clothes and all that entails, she’s also a teacher and entertainer, nurse and counsellor, designer and organiser, taxi driver and chef to mention just a few. What’s the modern term for a mum these days? Executive Domestic Manager, I prefer Domestic Goddess! A working mum has to do all these things and work at the same time! So please don’t underestimate your worth and value here. I take my hat off to you! You are amazing and deserve to be recognised for all that you do! I hope you give yourself credit for the energy, loyalty and commitment you have undertaken to care for your family! You truly are amazing!

Remember, you won’t be doing this amount of work for the rest of your life. You will be able to put yourself first in increasing ways as you teach the children to become more independent.

Find some joy time for yourself, even if it’s 5 minutes before the troops rise in the morning or before you go to bed and if you are low on energy, screen time will deplete your energy even more, as you are giving your energy away. Do something FOR YOU, even if its sitting in silence with a lovely cuppa.
