The Freedom to BE

Today, 23 July 2025, the Sun is at 0° of Leo and Uranus is at 0° of Gemini. This could be an interesting time as these two will be working together until the 30^th of July and this includes the New Moon on the 25^th of July.

These two energies are working favourably together, and they’re both very powerful. Let me explain the qualities of Uranus and how we express them. Uranus rules Aquarius and if you know an Aquarian this might sound familiar.

Uranus requires freedom to BE who and what you want to be, freedom from restrictions, tradition and the status quo. It creates such an urge for freedom that it’s very challenging to sit with these feelings and as it has a strong need for freedom and or change. This energy doesn’t like things to remain the same, it must continue to progress from the traditional ways of doing and being. Uranus works quickly and can be surprising or shocking, it brings changes which can disrupt the status quo. The Uranus energy is always thinking of the future in radically different ways. Great inventions have been created when Uranus was strong in a chart and now with Uranus in Gemini, this is another one of those times.

It's interesting that Saturn at 1° retrograde of Aries is also a co=ruler of Aquarius and Saturn is working with Uranus and the Sun at the moment as well. I find it interesting that they both rule Aquarius because to me they are opposite of each other. Uranus likes freedom from limitations and Saturn is all about limitations in order to succeed. My sense is that with these two working together and being highlighted by the Sun, the Aquarian energy will be quite powerful and Pluto is in Aquarius for the next 19 years!

Uranus in Gemini is genius material, so you may have some pretty out there ideas that may surprise you. You may have to do things twice as Gemini is the twins. Gemini is about communication and technology, learning and travel.

The Sun will be highlighting the Uranus in Gemini themes and Saturn in Aries conjunct Neptune. It feels like there may be sudden changes or information coming in that you’ve been waiting for and this will bring a little more clarity toward what you will move towards in the future and you may be quite surprised. The change may require courage and planning, but then Uranus likes to take risks, which one will win?

Uranus is also working with the South Node (your comfort zone) and Mars in Virgo, this is where you may see things that you’re comfortable with require action and change. If you were born in the Mid Sixties this will be affecting you strongly and if you resist the changes, you may find you become unwell or very low in energy to get you to look at things and what you need to slow down or change. The Virgo energy is about the fine details, the service you provide and health. You may have to change things suddenly which will disrupt your status quo, but you’ll experience the benefits quickly too. Link for this video is below for you.

Not only is the Sun working with Uranus and Saturn, but also Pluto in Aquarius. Remember that Uranus and Saturn rule Aquarius so this is significant. Pluto is also bringing about change with the intention of healing as Pluto works with Chiron, which relates to our fear of rejection or abandonment. It will be highly beneficial to use this energy to the best of your ability considering Pluto will be working with Chiron for the next 8 years. It certainly is a time of growth and expansion and I know this can create anticipation or anxiety, so remember to support yourself through these times, that will be part of your learning and growing your sense of self and self-compassion. You’ve got this! And remember to stay on the side of love and love will be on your side.
