The Spring Equinox

The Spring Equinox occurs in the Southern Hemisphere on 23 September 2023 at 4.49pm. This is when the Sun is directly over the equator and the daylight and night time hours are equal. This occurs for 2 days over Spring and Autumn. A Solstice is when the daylight and night-time hours are longest and shortest and occur in Summer and Winter, just in case you were wondering what the difference is between an equinox and a solstice.
