Virgo Season

Good morning and welcome to Virgo Season!

Even if you are not a Virgo, you may have planets or points in Virgo which influence your personality some of which you may recognise in this post.

Virgo is where you define and refine something you’re working on. Virgo loves to improve things and to make any procedure performed regularly, highly efficient and productive.

Just because Virgo likes things to be done quickly and efficiently, doesn’t mean they scrimp on quality, oh no, Virgo insists upon perfection and quality. They can see when a picture is slightly off centre and have a burning desire to fix it! It can be quite challenging for Virgo’s to allow things to be as they are because they need progress and improvement, everything has to be just right, according to their own way of seeing things. Part of the learning here is to accept others “perfection” even if that looks broken to you.

Virgo loves to be of service and to help everyone. They need to feel useful and to be doing something just about all of the time. If you have Mars in Virgo or strong Virgo energy, you may find it challenging to relax or to stop working, but this Virgo season will be different because the South Node is in Virgo slowing this way of life down. You may not have the oomph you used to have and will be quite happy to do something less strenuous or active.  You might even begin to say “no” and pull the reigns in a bit.

The Vigo energy gathers information to analyse something, they look at how something works and why, then tries to make it better. It’s a very intelligent mind and you can see how the influence of Mercury being the Ruler of Virgo works here.

Health and fitness are part of the Virgo energy which will be highlighted this season. The need to be strong, fit and healthy, mentally and physically, will be stronger than usual.

This is an Earth sign, so you’ll see these people working in the garden or on the land, perhaps they have lots of pot plants or go for walks in nature a lot.

At the moment Virgo is the only active Earth energy in the zodiac wheel and it’s going to be highlighted in a big way as we have the Virgo New Moon at 0° on the same day Virgo season begins, on the 23^rd of August for us in the Southern Hemisphere. Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, enters Virgo on the 3^rd of September. There is Pisces Total Lunar Eclipse which will be working with the Sun and South Nodes in Virgo at 15° occurring on the 8^th of September. Venus enters Vigo on the 20^th of September and then we have another New Moon which will be a partial Solar Eclipse on the 22^nd of September. The South Node will be in Virgo until 19 August 2026.

So, the energy of Virgo will be highly active this season. The House or Houses Virgo is within your chart will help to see the area of life that will be affected. Is it House 1 for self improvement, or House 10, where your career or reputation will be highlighted.
