Aquarius New Moon 29 January 2025 at 9 degrees of Aquarius.

The Aquarius New Moon begins a new cycle of independence and the need for freedom from something that may be holding you back from moving forward in life. It has an aspect of rebelling against the normality of the past and seeks to reform, to de-program and create a better future. The Aquarius New Moon is socially aware and has a group mentality or being with friends and discussing the future.

As Pluto and Mercury are close by at 1° and 2° of Aquarius, there may be some crazy or unusual ideas coming up that will support a change and the removal of something that isn’t working for you anymore. It may be that you knew change was required but didn’t know how to go about it or what the change would look like, you just knew you were ready for something to change.

Jupiter at 11° of Gemini is also working with the Aquarius New Moon and Jupiter loves to expand things and in Gemini, he will be expanding projects, ideas and communications. Be careful here as Jupiter also likes to exaggerate and could have you thinking really big, like too big, talking too much, having too much on the go or have your mind on overdrive, especially as Aquarius and Gemini are both air signs.

I sense a lot of new energy coming in, new thoughts, new ideas, new perspectives and new trajectories that may come as a surprise and there may be a push/pull aspect to it, like “Yes, I’m ready, let’s do this!” and then when you think about it a bit more, you may think you’re ok with the old way and put the breaks on. If this does happen, feel into it, take your awareness into your heart space and ask your body which is best for you. Ask this way? Then feel what your body is telling you. Or that way? Then feel into your body again. This will give you your most accurate answer.

Collectively I feel this New Moon cycle will have us thinking about how and what we’ve always done, with questions coming up about why we have always done what we’ve done and do we want life to continue this way into the future. Aquarius will have us thinking smarter not harder and with the North Node now in Pisces, humanity will be going higher, becoming more connected to our Higher Self, to the wellbeing of humanity and all life on Earth.

If you have planets or points at 9° of the air signs, Aquarius, Gemini or Libra, you will be affected more personally and the House or Houses where 9° is situated in your chart will show you the area of life that will be affected, which is good to know because you can then see how life is working with you and you can work with the energies to create a smoother journey.
